Elaine Blitman died Dec. 26, 2021 in Idaho where she and husband Bill lived after their retirement to be near their family in Idaho. Elaine was hired in 1967 at Punahou School. She started as a graphic artist then taught art. She was then appointed Supervisor for Kindergarten through Fourth grade. After several years the position was expanded and Elaine became Supervisor for grades K to 2 with her colleague assuming grades 3 and 4. She then became Director of Instructional Services and Coordinator of Curriculum for the entire K -12 institution in her leadership positions, Elaine, along with her colleagues was instrumental in the development of many technological advancements at Punahou This in no small way has helped make Punahou one of the premier college prep schools in the countryA Celebration of Elaine's Life is being planned for Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
on the Punahou campus in Thurston Chapel.
