She graduated from McKinley High School, one of her classmates was the late Sen. Daniel Inouye. During the war she worked at Ford Island. After the war, she left to attend Armstrong College in Berkeley, California and earned her business degree. She then returned to Hawaii to work in the millwork shop started by her father. She and her brothers, Percy and Andrew worked at Waimanu Sash & Door for over 50 years.
She was a member of Community Church of Honolulu and was a Naris cosmetics consultant for many years. After retirement, she volunteered at Kapiolani Medical Center, crocheting baby caps for the infants. She loved to travel and going on cruises; visiting many places China, Hong Kong, South Korea and numerous other countries.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa, brother Andrew Ching, sister-in-law Eleanor Ching, brother-in-law Harold Aloiau and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on July 30, 2022 at Community Church of Honolulu, 2345 Nuuanu Avenue, 10:00 am visitation, 11:00 service.
Private burial, please no flowers.
