Florentino "Tino" Mandac Felipe of Kalihi passed away on June 24, 2022. Tino, 79, was born on March 3, 1943, in Tangid Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. The youngest of 4 children, Tino was preceded in death by his parents Alfred (1985) and Encarnacion (2008) and brother Emeterio Felipe (2003).Tino immigrated to Maui in 1959 before moving to Oahu. He married Rosalind Isidro in 1964, and together they raised three daughters. He was a dedicated and proud grandfather to 9 grandchildren.
Tino was a hardworking Para Medical Assistant at Leahi Hospital for 35 years and retired in 1998. He enjoyed retirement with his wife and family, traveled, and proudly operated a gardening service business until 2015. Tino will be remembered for his excellent work ethic, generosity and delicious cooking.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Tino is survived by his wife Rosalind; daughters: Florence Pajardo (Ermie Barroga Jr.), Melanie Felipe-Dela Rosa (Edwin Dela Rosa), and June Grace Felipe (Isaac Matias); 9 grandchildren: Brenna Dela Rosa, Joy Pajardo, Ethan Dela Rosa, Mahina Matias, Isaac Ali'I Matias, Analia Matias, Kiana Matias, Kimberlie Barroga and Kristin Barroga; sister Josephine Caddali (Severo), brother Rizal Felipe (Honorata), and many nieces and nephews.
Wake will be held on Friday, August 12th from 5:30-8 PM. at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary Lower Chapel at Valley of the Temples. Funeral on Saturday, August 13th: Visitation 9 AM and Mass 10 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church; burial 12 PM at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park Cemetery.
