78, of Waimanalo, Hawaii, passed away on June 27, 2022; born March 9, 1944, in Pa'ia, Maui. John is a graduate of Farrington high school c/o 1963 a and veteran of the Hawaii Army National Guard from 1963 to 1975. John retired after 29 years with Honolulu Fire Department, culminating his service as Fire Captain in command of Ladder Company 2 Pawa'a Fire Station. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Florence; his two children Tricia (Lance) and John Jr. (Seyha), along with five granddaughters and six great grandchildren. Private services were held.
