On May 20, 2022, the Imoto 'Ohana suffered the loss of their family patriarch with the passing of Richard Asanori Imoto (98).He is survived by his four sons: Robert (Chris), Dennis (Brenda), Ronald (Gwen), and Isaac (Sabrina); six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his loving wife, best friend and Scrabble/Hanafuda/Las Vegas partner of 70 years Nancy Miyoko Imoto, his parents, Katsujiro and Asa Imoto, brothers Jack and Harold, and sisters Constance and Gladys.
He was born in Honolulu on June 25, 1923, graduated from McKinley High School, is a veteran of the US Army and retired as a carpenter after a career that spanned over 30 years.
The family was truly blessed
to have had such a great dedicated father and role model.
