FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Shirley Mae Kauanoe Manicas
Shirley Mae Kauanoe Manicas Shirley M. K. Manicas passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2022, after a long and adventurous life. She was born in Laie on June 16, 1932, to Annie Hosea and Samuel Mahana Kauanoe.
In the late 1940s and 1950s, she danced the hula professionally on the mainland and in Europe. She belonged to the Ahahui Kaahumanu, Chapter 1.

Her husband, son and daughter preceded her in death.

A private ceremony is planned.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
