Passed away on August 8, 2021 at the age of 55. He was predeceased his mother Jane (Oshiro) Okamura and is survived by his father Kazunori (Jeanette) Okamura, brother Hollis (Iris) Okamura, and sister Codie (Derick) Kekona. He is also survived by 4 nieces, Chael Kekona (Chad Eckart), Chara Kekona, Kiana Okamura, and Keila Okamura. Stu worked in the flooring industry for over 30 years and considered to be one of the best in his field. His passion in life was boxing and dedicated himself to coaching competitive athletes and those seeking self-improvement. He was a USA boxing certified official and coach. He coached fighters to become Local and National Champions.
"Coach Stu's" Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the Palama Settlement from 10:00am-1:00pm. Dress casual/cool, shorts ok, wear your favorite boxing shirt.
