Manu was born in Manchester, CT, and roamed the world settling for years at a time in England, Tacoma, Kailua, Yap, and Kaimuki. He passed away on April 19th in Honolulu after a short illness.Manu's humble demeanor belied a free spirit and rich character. He was an educator, a writer, a poet, and a great lover of animals & the natural world. He will be dearly missed by his wife Mary (married 50 years); children Keoni (Kathryn), Malia (Hanaloa) & Tinan; brothers Fred (Donna) & Alan (Leslie); grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his extended Pacific 'ohana, professional colleagues at LCC and beyond, and the many communities he touched.
A celebration of life will be held on August 19, 2022 at the He'eia State Park Banquet Hall from 11-2pm. https://fb.me/e/25UCen85n
