FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

GRACE KOGAMI
GRACE KOGAMIOur mom, Grace Kogami, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2022 surrounded by her family. Grace will leave a legacy of positivities. Always striving to do better in life and leaving a "large footprint" on everyone she met. Married to the love of her life, Ralph, and raising 3 sons and a daughter. Her first job was working at Honolulu Savings and Loan as a Savings Counselor. And following many years, she rose to become a Business Account representative and retired as an Assistant Vice President of HonFed. She was known as "Ms. HonFed" who won ever "account opening" contests, was a role model at work and lived life to the fullest. Our Mom left a lasting impression on everyone with her true "Aloha" charisma and infectious smile.

She, along with her sister, Gladys Murakami, started a singing group, "Karaoke no Tomo" which has lasted over 25 years. She loved to be a performer and that was always her dream, to be not the best but a "Great" one. She performed her Karaoke songs wearing her many zany costumes and loved every minute, entertaining her friends and family in the audience, and making everyone laugh with her.

She is survived by her sons, Alan (Faith) Kogami, Bruce (Emily) Kogami, Curtis Kogami (Doug Shirai), daughter, Lois (David) Boesing, 6 grandchildren and great-grandson.
