Wilfred Joseph Paresa
Wilfred Joseph Paresa Wilfred was born on March 26, 1934, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Virginia and Alfred Paresa. He is a proud alumni of St. Louis School and the University of Hawaii at Manoa where he earned his Civil Engineering degree. He served in the U.S. Air Force where he earned the rank of Captain upon his separation from service. Bill worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and, after 32 years of service, retired as the Assistant Chief, Construction Operations Division at the Pacific Ocean Division located at Fort Shafter. Never one to stay idle, he was hired by Engineers Surveyors Hawaii, Inc. shortly after retirement where he worked for another ten years as a Vice President of the firm.
Bill married the love of his life, Lynne Rider Paresa, on August 8, 1959. They were blessed with 61 years of marriage filled with travel, friendships, and loving family. His beloved Lynne sadly passed away in February 2020.
Bill is survived by his sons Anthony (Cathy) Paresa, Michael (Cindy) Paresa and David (Jan) Paresa; seven grandchildren: Alston, Virginia, Dana, Lindsey, Zachary, Kimberly, Jacob; six great grandchildren: Sonny, Micah, Charlee, Lyla, Josie and Tygh; and sisters Val and Teresa.
We'd like to thank everyone who has touched and enriched our father's life and would like to send a special Mahalo to his end of life caretakers Shylee, Momi, and Cindy who provided him the best of care during his last few years.

A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held at St. John Vianney Church, Keolu Drive, Kailua, on Saturday, August 20, 2022.
Visitation: 10:15 a.m.; Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Aloha attire is encouraged and our family kindly requests no flowers.
