63, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2020 in Arizona of a brain tumor. He was born in Waianae and loved playing football for the Waianae Seariders.He is preceded in death by sister Lucy "Honeygirl" (Al) Fernandez and brother Ralph (Marlene) Kaho'onei.
He is survived by wife Tamee, sons; Kapana & Kana'i (Brianna) Thronas-Kaho'onei, grandson; Piha Kaho'onei, parents; James & Lucy Kahoonei Sr., brother; James Jr. (Julianna "Snooky") and Ken (Sharlene) Kaho'onei, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.There were Private Celebration of Life gatherings held in Waianae in April 2021 and in Anahola in December 2021.
