FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Charles Robert Lindsey III
Charles Robert Lindsey III On July 31, 2022, the Lindsey Ohana suffered the loss of their family patriarch with the passing of Charles Robert Lindsey III. Surrounded by his family at home, he left this life to enter the arms of our loving Father. Also known as "Biggie," dad, papa and "Chuck," he dedicated his life to enriching others with his gentle words, service in the community, and always lending a hand.
Born in Honolulu on December 30, 1943, he graduated from McKinley High School, was a veteran of the US Army and retired from Hawaiian Tel as an installation/repair technician after 31 years. He was also a waterman who surfed and paddled all of his life.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Lavaina Lindsey of Hilo; four children: Sui Lan (Tyra) Wong, Charles Robert Lindsey IV, Charla (Russell) Crabbe, Charlin "Hala" (Tom) DeCoito; daughter-in-law Mari Anthony; twelve grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Above all, Charles kept his family at the forefront of his life. Our family is truly blessed to have had such a dedicated husband, father and role model. We are who we are because of you. Thank you for all your sacrifices and caring; we will forever cherish your gentle spirit, and quiet strength. We love you.

Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
