On July 28, 2020 Jeff was carried home in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father. He was the first son of Hazel M. and Carl T. Smith of Anderson, Indiana. Jeff graduated from Anderson College and received his masters and doctorate in Political Science from the University of Hawaii, excelling in statistics and methodology. With this, he dedicated 45 years directing marketing research in Honolulu. He was a biblical scholar and also enjoyed the science of politics, policy and personalities. Jeff favored Zippy's Loco Moco, Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream, 007 movies, SNL and Late Night with Johnny Carson. He served on the boards of Aina Haina Church of God and The Gideons International Society. Besides his wife Diane, and his son Brendan, Jeff loved his brothers Daryl and Kevin of Indiana, his sister Sandra of Wisconsin, his cousin Linda Althouse of California.
