Roxanna Laheamanu Davis
Roxanna Laheamanu Davis "Roxie" to her family, "Roxanne" to her close friends, and "Tutuma" to many, Roxie passed away May 24th in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was greeted in Heaven with open arms by her husband, Wayne Keonaanamanu Davis; twin daughters, U'ilani Mahinaku and Pilialoha Kaleo'okalani; parents, Elmer Aalona Ako and Blanche Kamala Ferreira Ako; brother, Ranceford Nohea Ako.
Roxie was a graduate of Kamehameha School for Girls, class of 1958, going on to Woodbury College in Los Angeles, CA, and the University of Hawaii, Manoa Campus. She worked as a special education teacher at Makaha Elementary School, secretary for Parsons Construction and Ameron HC&D, secretary with the Hawaii State Legislature, and a real estate agent with Horita Realty. After years of paid employment, she was a stay at home housewife and tutu, where her best work of giving love and providing occurred.
Among the organizations she was involved with and which she was a founding member, was Ka Hana O Ke Akua Church in Waianae, formed in June, 1975. She was also a member of the 'Ahahui Ka'ahumanu, Royal Order of Kamehameha Women's Auxiliary, the Papakolea Hawaiian Civic Club and she was a past Little League president on the Waianae Coast.
Her many interests included genealogy work, traveling, and anything her mo'opuna were involved in, from kula, hula, and hoe wa'a, to fundraisers, events, and being everyone's Tutuma. She blessed anyone who came in contact with her by her love and giving spirit, including complete strangers. Always willing to help others, always ready to lift anyone in prayer.
Survived by daughter, Nalei Davis and son, Kawika Davis; granddaughters: Kamala Fontanilla, Mahealani (Fontanilla) Woolsey, Keola Davis, and Kehaunani Fontanilla; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers Wendell Huddy and Julian Ako.

Services will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, at
Mililani Memorial Park. Visitation: 5:00 p.m.; Service: 6:00 p.m.
And on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at
Bishop Memorial Chapel, Kamehameha Schools, Kapalama Campus
Visitation: 9:00 a.m. Service: 11:00 a.m.
Interment: 1:30 p.m. at Mililani Memorial Park.
