FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Benedict M. Diniega

Benedict Diniega, 75, passed away July 2022. He was born in Kohala, moved to Honolulu, and attended St. Louis HS. At UH he earned degrees in Mathematics, Medicine, and Public Health. He worked for the US Public Health Service and Indian Health Service, then had a long and brilliant career in the US Army. After retiring, he worked at the Pentagon with Civil Service.
He will be missed by wife Carol; children: Matt, Bekky, and Rachael; mother Veronica and sister Tish, as well as many friends and family members.
Memorial service will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. on September 3, 2022. Remembrances may be made to American Parkinson Disease Association.
