Following a residency at Deaconess Hospital and a position as Deputy Coroner in Spokane, Washington, they settled in Honolulu where Thomas was director of laboratories at Kapiolani Hospital and an associate professor at the University of Hawaii School of Medicine. Tom was a risk taker and visionary who founded Accupath Laboratories and won the 1991 Robbins World Cup Trading Championship. After retirement, he used his knowledge of medicine and passion for holistic healing to help others. In addition, he used his time to write screenplays which generated interest from filmmakers. He was known for his love of cigars, golf, ukulele, singing, and irreverent jokes.
Thomas is survived by Tamiko, his three children, and eight grandchildren.
