FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Clifford S. Oshiro
Clifford S. Oshiro passed away peacefully at home on August 10, 2022. He was born on September 6, 1951, to Mary Sachiko (Uyeda) Oshiro and George Seiei Oshiro in Honolulu, Hawaii.

He is survived by his wife Hedy "Angela" L (Moon) Oshiro. Son Steven S. and daughter-in-law Janis Oshiro. Stepchildren Bruce Moon, Deborah (Moon) Rea and son-in-law Allen A Smith II. Brother Michael Yoshinaka and nephew Sheldon Kuroda. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Sachiko (Uyeda) Oshiro Yoshinaka, sister Karen Fusako (Oshiro) Kuroda Uchiyama and brother-in-law Dennis H. Uchiyama and uncle Francis I. Uyeda

Clifford served in the U.S. Army 1969-1971 and was stationed for a time in Viet Nam. He returned home to work for the Gas Company known now as Hawaii Gas for 42 years, retiring in 2014.

He had a life-long love of fishing, the ocean and the outdoors which he shared with his son, nephew and grandchildren. He enjoyed the times he was able to travel to Molokai, Lanai, Big Island with his friends to fish, hunt and talk story.

He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. post 2875 and had many comrades and friends in the VFW. He learned to paddle and enjoyed the time with his fellow members in the water.

He also was a member of the Aiea Height Christian Church, having accepted the Lord later in life he relished his relationship with the Lord and the members of the church.

Please join us for the life celebrating service at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary on Tuesday, September 13th, 2022, at 9:30 a.m., light refreshments at 11:45 a.m. and internment to follow at 1:00 p.m. at The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl.
