GARY LEONARD RAPOZA SR.
65, from Pearl City HI, passed away peacefully at home with family and friends by his side on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022. Gary was born on May 24, 1957 in Honolulu. A graduate of Damien Memorial School, Gary soon went on to serve in the United States Army for 4 years. His selfless and hardworking acts soon lead him to landing a job at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard where he worked for 26 years until his retirement in May of 2022. A true family man, Gary was very devoted to his family and friends, doing anything he could to help them in their time of need. He was also known for his fun sense of humor and putting a person at ease during any situation. Gary was the one you could go to when you needed help solving a problem or wanting advice. Although his physical self is no longer here with us on this earth, his courageous spirit will live on through his family and the many people whom he encountered throughout his life. Gary is survived by his wife, Rosa. Children: Jamie Lyn Moreno, Gary Leonard Rapoza Jr., Heather Ann Rapoza. Grandchildren: Cole Cua-Rapoza, Jaymin Moreno, Jayden Moreno. Son-in-Law: Desmon Moreno. Brother: Glen R. Rapoza. Services to be held Friday September 9th, 2022 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church @10:00am. Casual aloha attire.
