It is with profound sadness that the family of Husband, Father and Pop-Pop, Kunani Sunn Blake, 55, announce his unexpected passing at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada. Kunani was born in Waimea, Kaua'i, Hawai'i on February 24, 1967 and went home to our Heavenly Father on August 2, 2022.Kunani was a proud graduate of the Kamehameha Schools, class of 1985. He went on to attend UH Manoa and during that time he met the love of his life, Debbie. Together they built a wonderful life with their three children who are their pride and joy. Kunani's highly respected career in the restaurant industry spanned 37 years and afforded them the opportunity to enjoy a rewarding and adventurous life.
Kunani was known as an honest, genuine, humble man, who lived his life with gratitude, love and selflessness. His smile, warm embrace and signature shaka will forever be remembered by all who knew him. Kunani embodied the aloha spirit to his core. He was a proud, loving, devoted man, whose highest priority was his 'ohana. He was a loyal friend, dedicated to nurturing his many treasured friendships. We are all truly blessed to have had shared our lives with him.
Kunani is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Debbie; daughter Brandi (Ka'ili); sons Dane Ku & Kupono; and granddaughters Aulama, Haweo & Kili'ohu. They will all carry the essence of his tremendous love and beautiful spirit throughout their lives.
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
