FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Aaron Yoshio Oda
It is with great sadness that the family of Aaron Y. Oda announce his unexpected passing on June 22, 2022 at the young age of 25 in Washington. Aaron graduated from Kaiser High School in 2014 and from Willamette University in 2018. He was working on a masters degree from Portland State University while working as a behavioral specialist.

Aaron loved the outdoors. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 2013 and always looked forward to the annual backpacking trip to the neighbor islands. Even though he left the islands, he loved University of Hawaii Athletics and attended road games to cheer them on.

He was an awesome son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. Aaron was loved by so many near and far. He loved his family and all of his great friends he met during his years. It was evident that he touched the lives of many in his short time. He will be truly missed.

Aaron is survived parents Russell Oda and Deanna Oda, sister Marissa Oda, grandfather Fred Kinumatsu, girlfriend Taryn Okemura, and numerous aunties, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents Raymond and Fumie Oda and Gerry Kinumatsu.

Celebration of Life to be held September 24, 2022 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Visitation 4:00 PM, Service 5:00 PM. Casual/aloha attire. In lieu of flowers and money, donations in his memory to support University of Hawaii Athletics (https://giving.uhfoundation.org/funds/12351404) or Boy Scouts of America Aloha Council (https://www.flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/MTI5ODUx) are suggested.
