Clifford graduated from Mid Pacific Institute in 1953 and the University of Hawaii in 1957.
After serving in the US Army, Clifford poured his heart and soul into the family business. With his leadership and dedication, a modest mom-and-pop store evolved into Tamura Super Market, a staple grocery store that continues to serve the Waianae Coast Community. His community involvement and patronage also reached the hearts of many local non-profits including the Waianae Hongwanji Mission, Boys and Girls Club of Waianae, and the Waianae Chapter of the Lions Club. He also dedicated his time and experience as the Director of Ka Waihona O Ka Na'auao Charter School, and as a Hawaii State Boxing Commissioner. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing tennis, gardening, golfing, and traveling to Las Vegas.
Clifford's legacy of selfless dedication to his family, hard work in the family business, and generosity to his community will remain in the hearts and minds of all who knew him.
Private services for Clifford were held at
Mililani Memorial Park and Mortuary.
