In the early morning hours of August 29, 2022, Albert went home to be with the Lord. He was born on March 20, 1949, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Howard and Eleanor Willing. Al graduated from Farrington High School, class of 1967. Upon graduating, he enlisted in the US Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He was then employed with Hickam AFB at Transit Maintenance and as a supervisor at Aloha Island Air. Al loved his ohana dearly and was especially proud of his beautiful grandchildren. He loved playing drums, golfing, working in his yard, Hawaiian music and ohana gatherings.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years and High School Sweetheart, Yolanda Puanani; his sons: Albert Keola (Raenani), Jonathan Kekoa (Leilani), Christopher Kanoa (Sarah); 10 grandchildren: Tiarae, Shandlynn, Makana, Duke, Kahikina, Kaleikaumaka, Noelani, Nalukea, Waimana and Hokulea. Albert is also survived by brothers Bob, Mike, and sister Sweetie. He was preceded in death by his daughter Jolisa, parents, and brother Howard.
Services will be held on October 4, 2022, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Kalanianaole Highway in Kuliouou. Visitation will start at 11:30 a.m. with mass to follow at 12:30 p.m.
Private scattering of ashes to be held at a later date.
