Age 92, passed away peacefully at home on September 20th, 2022. Originally from Hong Kong, Ted had always longed to live in Hawaii because he was captivated by the beauty of the islands and the warm tropical climate. He moved to Hawaii after retiring as a marine engineer in the mid 1990s. He loved photography and enjoyed making photo books of his many travels all over the world. He took great pride in cultivating his garden, populating it with many varieties of hibiscus plants and rose bushes. Ted was predeceased by his wife Marina "Chicky" Young. He is survived by his only son Douglas Young of Hong Kong. A short graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 10:30 a.m. at Diamond Head Memorial Park. Aloha attire. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ted's memory to a charity of your choice.
