JP passed away peacefully at home on August 23, 2022. Born in Lihue, Hawaii, on September 15, 1956, he grew up in Wailua, Kauai. He lived a great life and was loved and appreciated by his family, many friends and co-workers. JP enjoyed an outstanding 37 yr career as a Sr. Flight Attendant with Hawaiian Airlines. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ann Kuuleialoha Punua. Survived by his father Victor Punua, Sr.; his daughter Herenui; former wife Cara; sister, Kuuleialoha (Yossi); brothers: Victor, Jr. (Cheryle), Wallis (Shana) & Edward, Sr. (Vanessa); nieces: Keialohi, Kawehi (Russell) & Leimomi; nephews: Kaimana, Matthew (Patrice), Micah, Kalae (Kris), Iki (Chandee), Marcus, and Edward, Jr.; grandnieces: Victoria, Lana, Stella, & Lilinoe, and grandnephews: Kamakau, Hekili, and Mason.
Services on October 8, 2022, All Saints Church, Kapaa, Kauai, Visitation: 1:00 p.m.; Service: 3:00 p.m. and reception to follow.
