LICARION "LARRY" BALMORES of Honolulu, passed on August 22, 2022, in the presence of family and surrounded by love. He was born on June 7, 1933, in Pu'unene, Maui. He graduated from Saint Anthony's School, Maui. He was a sergeant in the army and later graduated from Honolulu Business College in accounting. Working at the C&C of Honolulu's Housing Development and Public Works, he retired as an inspector for the Design and Construction Dept. after 30 years. When he wasn't bowling, he was spending time with his family which meant everything to him.
He is survived by his loving wife Perlita Balmores; daughter Shirly Balmores; grandchildren: Daniel Balmores, Preston & Joshua Pulawa, Kekoa, Nakoa, and Heavenly Gabriel; numerous great grandchildren; siblings: John (Pat) Balmores, Mary Balmores & Elizabeth (Clayton) Wong, and extended family. His passing was preceded by his parents Pedro and Blasa Balmores and siblings: Maxima Capili, Jose Balmores, Avelina Balmores, Remedios Hood, Teofilo Balmores, Francis Balmores, and Mona Lisa Wood.
His family welcomes friends & loved ones to pay their respects on September 30th, 2022. Visitation: 9:30 a.m. at St. Anthony, Kalihi with mass to follow. Burial & military honors: 1:00 p.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. Aloha or formal attire is requested.
