He managed the district office of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company from 1966 to 1972, then he founded Stan A. Kinoshita & Associates, Inc. Stan built an independent insurance agency and also added retirement plan administration which his children (Brad and Sheri) still run today – 50 years later.
He was a member of the Honomu Henjoji Mission, Hilo High School Class of 1951 (Lincoln Wreckers) and numerous other organizations. Stan had a love for wine and was a founding member and past President of the Big Island Wine Society. He also enjoyed golf and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marjory Kinoshita, son, Brad (Niki) Kinoshita, and daughter, Sheri (Grant) Nishida, grandsons Brentson Kinoshita, Casey and Ryan Nam, sister Janet Fujimoto and brother Bertram (Ruth) Kinoshita, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to expressly thank Dr. David Nakamura as well as Hawaii Care Choices and Bayada Home Health Care for their help and support especially during the final months of Stan's life.
