Miriam Yuriko Fujimoto
Miriam Yuriko Fujimoto76, passed away on August 30, 2022, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Born in Kahuku, Miriam was a teacher, and had a Master of Education degree. She taught at Laie Elementary, Heeia Elementary, and James B. Castle High School, her alma mater, where she was active in the 4H and speech/debate clubs as the faculty advisor.

She loved to travel and visited many places throughout Asia and Europe, and lived for many years in Hong Kong and New York.

Miriam enjoyed sharing her home with family and friends and often hosted the younger family members for fun sleepovers and pool parties. She loved scrapbooking, reading, and gardening (especially her orchids). She had many pet birds, and her last, and most favorite bird, was a sun parakeet named Kulamanu.

Miriam is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Roseline, brothers Walter and Stanley, and sister Gladys Yap. She is survived by her sister Priscilla Cabael, brothers Henry, Galan, and Ted, nieces and nephews, and their ohana.

Family and friends will cherish their fond memories of the sweet, kind, and generous person that she was.

Miri - we will love and remember you forever.

A private Celebration of Life was held. The family kindly requests no flowers or monetary gifts.
