64, was born in Groton, Connecticut and passed away peacefully at her Kailua home, as she wanted, on August 15, 2022 under Navian care. Her family is eternally grateful for the love and care that Dr. Kelly Shimabukuro from Kaiser Permanente provided Karen during her 8 year battle with cancer. She graduated from Punahou School Class of 1975. She also attended Chapman College. Karen worked at Stott Property Management for 30 years. She is survived by her children; Chris Texeira (Erika), Leslie Ortiz (Sol) and Philip Texeira and her 5 precious grandchildren. Her sisters; Jean Ernst (Rick), Diane Lota (James) and Mary Jane Markoskie who will forever miss their "Warrior Princess". A private celebration of Karen's life will be held at a later date.
