Miriam Haaeoholani McCabe Kahapea, 100, of Hilo, HI, passed away on Sunday, July 3rd, 2022, in Hilo. She was born on December 9, 1921; in Heeia, Oahu. She was a retired Secretary for Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate. She was a member of the Alu Like Program, Koolaupoko Civic Club, and St. Ann's Catholic Church in Kaneohe, HI. She is preceded by William Keka Nalua Kahapea Sr. (husband), and William Keka Nalua Kahapea Jr. (son). Survived by 3 sons, Wendell (Barbara) Kahapea of Honolulu, HI, Warren Kahapea of Honolulu, HI, and Wallace Kahapea of Hilo, HI; 2 daughters Wanda Kahapea Zablan of Honolulu, HI, and Christina Kahapea of Hilo, HI; brother Louis McCabe of San Antonio, TX; 16 grand- children; 42 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Kaneohe, Oahu on Saturday, October 8th, 2022. Viewing will be at 10 am. Services with Mass at 11:30 am.
