Thomas Cajski, 85, of Kailua, passed away on September 11, 2022.Thomas was born on September 23, 1936 to Dr. Casimir Cajski and Helen Cajski (nee Kozminski) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
A graduate of Marquette University High School, he went on to obtain his bachelor's degree from Marquette University and his master's degree from University of Hawaii, where he was all-but-dissertation (ABD) in the Political Geography program.
Captain Thomas Cajski had a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy spanning over 30 years.
To family and friends, he was beloved for his intellect, wit, positivity, reliability, and wholesomeness. A devout Catholic and the noblest person we have ever had the pleasure to know, Thomas is reunited with his son Mark, his brother John, and his parents in heaven.
He is survived by his wife Suzanne, sons Christopher (Linda) and Michael (Van); daughters Catherine (Kirk) and Mary (Chrystian); grandchildren Kahealani, Iokepa (Emily), Grace, Nicholas, John, Kathleen, Elsie Jubilee, and Helen Juice; and great-grandchild Thomas.
The mass will be held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Kailua on Saturday, October 15 at 11:00 a.m., preceded by a visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. His veteran's burial will be held at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery on Monday, October 17 at 1:00 p.m. Aloha wear for both services.
