He is survived by his wife Lynn (Yoshizawa) Nitahara; sons Daniel (Jenna) Nitahara, Jayson Nitahara, and Tyler Nitahara; grandchildren Brooke and Skyler Nitahara; sisters Roberta (Garrick) Shishido, and Shauna (Don) Tsuha; brother Wayne Nitahara; and mother Yukiko Nitahara.
