He was best known as the Principal of Molokai High School where he established a positive relationship between students, parents, teachers and the community. In 1987, his vision was fulfilled, when Molokai High School received the State of Hawaii's Most Outstanding Public School Award, and in 1988 he was named Maui District's Most Outstanding Principal. Besides being an educator, he was actively involved in community events such as the Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce and local politics.
Most of all Clifford loved golf and traveling to Las Vegas. He enjoyed playing with the Maunaloa Golf Club at Kalua Koi Golf Course on Molokai and with his Hackers golf group on Oahu. When he traveled to Las Vegas, the California Hotel was his favorite place to stay and the HI-CAL golf tournament was the highlight of his trip.
When Clifford was no longer able to travel, he would still cook nightly dinners, organize our UH football pay per view potlucks and prepare our holiday (Christmas and New Year's) parties.
We were so blessed to have him in our lives and miss him dearly.
Clifford is survived by his loving wife Marian, son Todd (Tammy), and grandsons Taylor and Nathan.
