93, of Honolulu, passed away peacefully on 9/13/2022 with family by her side. Born in Guangdong, China. Predeceased by her husband Kam Chong Chun on 3/14/2018. They are now reunited forever. After being a stay at home mom and babysitting for family friends, in the mid 1980's she began her second career as an on-call substitute cafeteria helper at various elementary schools, finding a permanent part-time position at Wilson Elementary School, retiring in 2004.
A devoted wife, loving mom and Popo, she enjoyed time with family and friends, cooking (jin dui, pretzels, gau, char siu bao), sewing, gardening, listening to chinese music and traveling.
Survived by children: Eileen (Keith) Sakoda, Tilda (Nelson) Wong, Andrew Chun, Audrey (Garret) Horimoto; grandchildren: Kennan, Kylie and Camryn; sisters: Wan Hing Yee of San Francisco, CA and Wan Yu (Tsun Wo) Cheung.
Visitation: 10:30am on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Borthwick Mortuary, Makai Chapel. Service: 11:15am. Face masks required. No flowers. Casual attire. Private burial at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
