80, passed away at the Pali Momi ER on July 1, 2022. She was born in Hilo on 11-15-41. She graduated from Hilo High & the University of Hawaii-Hilo with a teaching degree. She was a teacher at Hilo High, Waiakea High, & Moanalua High Schools. She enjoyed traveling with many trips to Las Vegas annually, visited several major countries in Europe, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Alaska Cruise, Okinawa, & several trips to Taiwan, Japan & Hokkaido. She is survived by husband: Stanley (married October 8, 1963), daughters: Rochelle Hironaka (Ross), Roxann Chong (Kevin), grandchildren: Dalton Hironaka, Ripken Chong, Kiersten Chong, & brothers James and Wayne Saito.Private services were held.
