Charles Lawrence "Larry" "Charlie" Gauthe Sr., 69, of Kailua, Oahu, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022 with his entire family by his side. Larry was born in New Orleans, Louisiana where he then joined the Marine Corps. After becoming a proud Marine, he was then stationed at Kaneohe Marine Corps Base Hawaii when he met Renee, "The love of his life" of 48 wonderful years and made Kailua his home. Larry was a beloved coach and a board member for many years with Kailua American Little League. He was also a member with The American Legion and a parish member of St. John Vianney Church. Larry worked at PWC Hawaii/NAVFAC Hawaii Transportation Department at Pearl Harbor where he was known as "Charlie". He then happily retired after 42 years of service. He is survived by his wife Renee Komatsu Gauthe; Son: Charles L. "Charlie Boy" Gauthe Jr.; Daughters: Sharon Gauthe (Chris) and Cynthia Gauthe (Kawika); 7 Sisters; 1 Brother; 8 Grandchildren; 3 Great- Grandchildren; numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends. Services will be held on Oct 24 at Hawaiian Memorial Park, visitation to start at 4:30pm. Burial will be held on October 25 at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery at 11:00am in Kaneohe.
