Grandma Kay, OG, or Old Mama. Born May 12, 1929 peacefully passed away at home on Tuesday morning, September 27, 2022. Chiyoko was survived by son Richard (Cynthia) Kajihiro, two daughters Helen (Philip) Carlos, Gaile (Glenn) Nitta. Chiyoko has one surviving sister Florence (David) Saito, many nieces and nephews, 14 grandchildren: Asa (Moka) Kajihiro, Natalie (Mike) Yonemura, Brandon (Kori) Kajihiro, Dallas (Paul) King, Galenn (Kara) Nitta, Gainor Nitta, Glenelle Nitta, Nashea (Micah) Kitaoka, 15 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.In 1973, she began her babysitting career. For the next 27 years, she became known as Grandma Kay to over 75 children. In 2001, she volunteered with Mililani Athletics making the best spam musubis and icees. She was a ray of sunshine.
Grandma Kay loved sports and loved to travel. She went on many neighbor island trips, Vegas adventures and Japan.
However your paths have crossed, know you have touched her heart immensely. As grandma would say, "Live life to the fullest! No regrets!

Funeral services will be held on October 26, 2022 at
Borthwick Morturary at the Maunakea Chapel. Visitation starts at 4:30 with service to begin at 5:30pm. Burial will take place on October 27, 2022 at Hawaiian Memorial in Kaneohe at 11am.
