FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Brenda Jean Moore
Brenda Jean Moore, age 80, of Frisco, Texas, passed peacefully away on Saturday, September 24, 2022. Brenda was born February 1, 1942 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Thomas Ayau and Helen Kim, the eldest sister of Andrew Ayau and Audrey Boyle.

Brenda was an astute businesswoman, devoted wife, and proud mother of 5 children, 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She attended Kamehameha Schools and received a degree from Hawaii Business College.

The hobby that brought her the greatest joy was cooking for others. You won't meet anyone that has had her fried rice say that there's any better. She also loved to dance, whether it was hula, traditional Korean dance, or even Sugarhill Gang Apache's "Jump On It" with her son and grandchildren.

Brenda's generosity knew no boundaries. Whether you met her in the grocery store, at church, or through a business transaction, Brenda's desire to help others was paramount.

She was a quiet, pioneering woman with a thriving career which included: past President of the National Association of Women in Construction in Hawaii, teacher at the local business college, jewelry store owner, and proprietor of a real estate brokerage and escrow/ title company. Her enterprising work ethic lives on today through her children.

Brenda is survived by her children Denise Moore-McIntosh, Ira Chun, Lana Moore and husband Edward Cullen V, Miki Hardisty and husband George Hardisty Jr., and Edward Moore; grand- children Samantha Moore-McIntosh, Casaundra Moore-McIntosh, Kayla Chun, Brendan Moore, Sabrina Hardisty and Luke Hardisty; great grandchildren Carlo Moore, JaCouri Brawley, Dave V. Bass, Charlie M. Bass; and dogs Frisca and Sandee.

Brenda was born and raised on Oahu, HI, and planned to return before her passing. Her wishes were to have a service in Hawaii where she worshipped. A celebration of life memorial service for Brenda will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Lutheran Church of Honolulu located at 1730 Punahou St, Honolulu, HI 96822.
