KAI MING YOUNG
KAI MING YOUNGBeloved son, brother, and uncle passed away on Sept. 18, 2022. He was born in Hong Kong on Sept. 30, 1960 and immigrated to Hawaii in 1962. After graduating from Farrington High School (1978), he went on to study at the University of Hawaii. For the majority of his career, he worked at the US Postal Service. He was nominated by his peers as the first recipient of the Engaged Employee Award for his dedicated service. His peers described him as a humble and hard worker, always willing to help others and go beyond the call of duty. A dedicated and caring son, he took care of his father and later his mother, continuing to do so until the time of his passing. In his spare time, he enjoyed going to the movies and trips to Las Vegas. He was especially well-loved by his nephews and nieces. Kai Ming is preceded in death by his father, Wing Kam and survived by his mother, Soo Chun; siblings, Henry (Betty), Peter (Alicia), and Lena Young; nephews and nieces, Nicholas, Kendra, Ryan, Lauren, Justin, and Christina Young. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones.

A funeral service will be held at Nu'uanu Memorial Park and Mortuary at 10am on Monday, November 7th.
