88, passed away on October 09, 2022, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. He was born in Honolulu, O'ahu on January 24, 1934, to Eldred and Mary De Freitas. Harty was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla Freitas; son Cyrus Freitas; brothers: Valentine Freitas and Bernard Freitas. He is survived by children: Louis (Kathryn), Kevin (Christina), David (Roseanna), Nani (David) Bailey and Gary (Julie) Makapugay; 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brother David (Darlene) Freitas. He was a graduate of Saint Louis High School's Class of '52, received his BA from the University of Hawaii and MBA from East Tennessee State (Sociology), and New Mexico State University (Business Management).
