She is best remembered for her many artistic talents which included, teaching ceramics to seniors, having been awarded the traditional title of Sokako by being a certified Ikebana professor as a 1st Grade in Ikenobo Floral Art, and becoming an oil painting artist after reaching the age of 80 years old. She was also known for her extraordinary culinary skills which in turn made her a true renaissance Woman. She will also always be remembered and appreciated for her kindness and giving to others.
She was predeceased by her parents Tametaro and Kame Koizumi. She is survived by adopted daughter, Alison Yoshikawa (Ed), adopted son, Richard Haru, and granddaughters, Ihilani and Hi'ilei Haru and her much loved bishon frise, Tutu.
Private Shinto services were held by Hosoi Mortuary and a scattering of ashes will take place at a later date per her wishes.
Family wants to express a sincere thank you to all who befriended her and contributed to her having a fulfilling life.
