FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Alfred H.S. Lee
97, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Lorraine, of 66 years. Even in his final days, our Dad maintained the same clarity of mind and sense of humor that delighted and entertained his family and friends over the years. He always had enough beers to share with the family during the Sunday dinners that our mom prepared. He loved sharing the many stories of his hard-working farm life on the shores of Pearl Harbor. His love and devotion to his family, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren were without end.

Alfred was born February 13, 1925, in Honolulu, Hawaii, graduated from McKinley High School, served in the U.S. Army Air Forces for four years, and retired after 36 years as a successful Shop 11 Ship Fitter and later Planner Estimator at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.

He is survived by his 4 children: Jo-Anne Nakagawa, Thomas Lee (Christine), Patrick Lee (Mary), and Jeri-Anne Martin (Paul), and 9 grandchildren: Robert Nakagawa (Becky) and Brian Nakagawa (Serena), Kevin "Kaleo" Lee (Christine) and Jennifer Koike (Eric), Kristen Lee, Matthew Lee (Kristi) and Samantha Lee, Brynn Ladoniczki (Matthew) and Kalani Martin, and 15 great- grandchildren: Vivian, Caleb, Valerie, Celeste Nakagawa, Donovan, and Carli Nakagawa, Ethan, Raidyn and Mahina Lee, Cameron, Drew and Arthur Koike, Jeremy Lee, Noa and Mia Ladoniczki. He is also survived by his brother, Richard H.S. Lee.

Alfred will be missed by many and loved forever. The family wishes to thank Archie and Maritel Antonio for their loving foster care of our Dad during the final years of his remarkable life.

A funeral will honor Alfred on November 4 at 10:00 am at Diamond Head Mortuary for public visitation, 10:30 am for service, lunch, and burial at 12:30 pm. Aloha attire.
