Our beloved Sandy died at the age of 74. He had a happy, fulfilled life. After the University of California Santa Barbara, followed by Peace Corps and work in Micronesia, he returned to the US in 1977 to attend the East-West Center at the University of Hawaii, where he received an MBA. The rest of his career was with Hawaiian Tel/Verizon.He was a sincere, decent, and affable man, devoted to family, and a lifelong surfer and world traveler. He died at home; surrounded by flowers, ocean sounds and family. He left his wife of 41 years, Ke-ching Ning; daughters Dina and Erica; three grandchildren; sister Claire; and the dear memory of his daughter, Marian.
It was a good ride; we didn't know he was so far out when
the sun suddenly set.
