71, of Ewa Beach, passed away on September 25, 2022. He was born in Honolulu. Mike retired as an Investigator Supervisor with the State of Hawaii Office of the Public Defender. He exuded the Aloha spirit throughout his life and was deeply loved by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his devotion to, and love of family and the Catholic faith.Mike was predeceased by his parents Deacon Andrew Gerakas and Juanita Gerakas. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Lydia, son David (Rachel), daughter Maria, granddaughter Mia, brother John Gerakas, sister Mary Wellein (Geoff), Aunt Ethel Gerakas & Uncle Evans Gerakas, both of Florida; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins.
We would like to thank all his friends and relatives for making his life full of memories that will always be a part of him and us.
Services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022,
at the Cathedral Basilica of our Lady of Peace, 1184 Bishop St., Hon. HI 96813. Visitation: 8:30 am-10:00 am; Mass at 10:00 am;
