Rev. Patrick Henry Freitas born December 21, 1939, in Pu'unene, Maui, to Edmund and Mary Pires Freitas, passed peacefully on October 18, 2022, surrounded by family and loved ones in Waipahu at the age of 82. He served for 57 years as a priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Honolulu. He was known and loved by many in the community. He leaves behind a large Ohana of family and friends; his sister Henriette Monk, aunts Lydia Ornellas and Julie Tom, and hanai sons Lt. Col. Michael Bartels, Jonathan Pang and Dr. Kyle Miura. Memorial service will be on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at the Co-Cathedral of St. Therese in Kalihi with visitation at 10 am and service beginning at 11 am.
