Anita Lee Ho
Anita Lee Ho...of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on November 8, 2022, at the age of 90 with family by her side. Born and raised in Honolulu, she attended Maryknoll School, where she excelled academically and acheived the Noblesse Oblige Award. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, graduating with honors. She was a member of the Rho Chi and Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Societies and Creighton University's Homecoming Queen in 1953. She worked as a Research Assistant at John Hopkins Hospital and as a Pharmacist in Honolulu.Anita married Richard K. B. Ho, a pediatrician, and they were together for 54 years. They raised four children, Stephen, Lori, Lisa and Lynn. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and enjoyed family life. Anita stayed active in the community and was named President of the Associated Chinese University Women in 1969 and the President of the Honolulu County Medical Auxiliary. Anita became a licensed Realtor and, also, worked as a Travel Agent and Medical Office Manager.

Anita adored and cared deeply for her grandchildren Kristen, Kyle, Brad, Paige and Gavin, and great grandchild Caleb. Anita had a passion for golf, alongside her husband for many years. She was a US Open volunteer for the USGA Scoring and Technical Depts. and traveled to many US Open golf tournaments. She was also a chairman for the Waialae Women's Golf Invitational. In retirement, she flourished at Kahala Nui. She enjoyed her friends and was active in her ukulele and craft classes. She is survived by her son, Dr. Stephen Ho (Anne), daughters Lori Ho (Gary), Lisa Kettenburg, Lynn Nishida (Duane), grandchildren, Kristen (Matt), Kyle, Brad, Paige and Gavin, great grandchild Caleb, and brother, Dennis Lee. Private Burial Services to be held at Punchbowl Memorial Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Dr. Richard K. B. Ho. Memorial Services at Mary, Star of the Sea Church on Monday, 12/5/22, Visitation 10-11am, Mass at 11:00am to be followed by a Celebration of Life at Mary, Star of the Sea Social Hall at 12:00 PM. Aloha attire. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary, Star of the Sea Church.
