Curtis H. Kono, age 70, passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, November 6, 2022, with his family at his bedside. He was born on January 29, 1952, to Harold and Annette Kono. Curtis was a 1970 graduate of Leilehua High School and went on to receive his bachelors at the University of Hawaii, College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources. He was most well-known for his time spent as a superintendent at Oahu Country Club, approximately 20 years. Curtis treasured golf architecture and was part of the construction team for the Bayview Golf Course, Kiahuna Golf Course, Poipu Bay Golf Course and Kauai Lagoons Golf Course. He worked 22 years as a volunteer at Augusta Nationals for the Masters Golf Tournament. He also worked at the Ryder Cup, British Open and U.S. Open. Many will remember Curtis' easy-going personality and knack for art. He truly lived life to the fullest through traveling around the world with his friends and family. He is survived by his wife, Joy; daughter, Megan (Carlton) Tanabe; son, Ryan; grandson, Jaxx Curtis Tanabe; mother, Annette and brother, Wesley. Public service will be held on: January 29, 2023,
