Edwin Koon Hung Say
On October 3, 2022, Edwin Koon Hung Say, loving uncle, grand uncle, great grand uncle, brother, cousin, and friend, passed away at age 94. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Mun Doo and Doris Say. He attended Royal, Central, McKinley High School. and Honolulu Business College. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Following the war, he worked in finance with Cooke Trust, Hawaiian Trust, and later First Hawaiian Bank. He retired as the senior vice president in the FHB Tax Department. He was an enduring member of the Nuuanu YMCA, or "Y", where he enjoyed swimming, weightlifting, and playing handball with his friends. He was a world traveler having visited France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Beijing, Shanghai, Tibet, Hong Kong, and Japan. Interspersed, he visited Las Vegas multiple times. He lived out his final years at the Craigside Senior Care Facility. Edwin Say is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Clarence. He is survived by his brother, Allan, a niece, nephews, and their children. Private services to be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at a later date.
