BRENT TAKESHI FUROMOTO
33, passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2022. He was the third and youngest son of Karen and Randal Furomoto of Mililani, Hawaii. Brent was an excellent musician and enjoyed being a part of MHS band and Hawaii Youth Symphony in his high school years. After graduating from Mililani High School in 2006 he completed degrees at Indiana University at Bloomington and IUPUI in Indianapolis, and attained a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2016. He completed residency at Adena Health System in Chillicothe, Ohio and was currently a family physician at Allina Health Inver Grove Heights in Minnesota. Brent dedicated his life to caring for others and his memory will live on in the countless lives he touched. He was a loyal companion, thoughtful friend, wonderful neighbor, and loving dog dad. Everyone who knew him liked him. Brent loved the outdoors, helping those around him wherever he went, was an accomplished pianist and avid photographer. He enjoyed classical music, cooking, and took pride caring for his home in Eagan, Minnesota.
He is survived by his partner, Tim Gonsalves; their two dogs, Cooper and Noah; parents, Karen and Randal Furomoto; brothers, Ryan (wife Iris and nephew Ren) and Ross; grandmother, Eunice Furomoto; and grandfather, Thomas Sugita.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 10:30 am with visitation beginning at 9:30 am at the Mauka Chapel of Mililani Memorial Park and Mortuary, Mililani Memorial Park Road at Ka Uka Blvd., Waipahu, Hawaii.
