73She was predeceased by her husband, John Mamoru Sato, her brother William Higa (Ruby), and her sister Frances Yamauchi (Jiro). She is survived by her sister, Nancy Kawakami, and her daughters Jennie Sato, Leigh Tsumura (Michael), and Cidney Ota (Richard). A private service was held earlier in the year.
Throughout her life, she was proud of her Okinawan heritage and passionate about music and art. She will always be remembered for her love for life and her aloha spirit . . . and she is deeply missed by her family and loved ones.
