Age 89, of Kaneohe, Hawaii, passed away at home on December 28, 2022. He was born and raised in Kalawahine, Oahu. Bobby graduated from Kamehameha School for Boys in 1951. He worked at Honolulu Iron Works and Hawaiian Electric shortly after graduating from High School but retired as an agent from State Farm Insurance. One of the highlights of his life was being a member of the Kamehameha Alumni Glee Club. They entertained at the Kahala Hilton and the New York World's fair and also traveled to Japan.He is survived by his wife Laverne, son Kiha, daughter-in- law Janeen, grandchildren Kaiana, Aukai, Capri, Kourtney and Sadie, plus three great-grandchildren. Also sisters Gladys Rodenhurst and Dede Awana and Brother Wally. He was pre-deceased by daughters, Kanani and Rhonda.
His celebration of life will be held Friday, February 10 at Hawaiian Memorial Park, Kaneohe. Visitation at 9am, Service at 10am. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
